Third graders on the 45th Street campus spent the first weeks of science class this school year learning about their body and what they can do to take care of it.
Hispanic Heritage Month takes place every year in the United States between September 15th and October 15th. This is a time where we recognize and honor the culture and contributions of people from Latin American and Spanish descent.
Throughout the first week of school, the artists of Aaron School 45th street asked themselves “Who am I? How do I see myself?” Then, they used mixed media to create self-portraits. Some artists chose a realistic approach, others dived into their imagination to create abstract pieces.
Here at Aaron School, and in schools across the country, October is known as Bullying Prevention Month! Through bullying-prevention themed challenges, lessons, and activities, students learned how to prevent bullying in our school community, and how to be Aaron “Upstanders” instead.
Within the Aaron School curriculum, students learn about the Zones of Regulation and various strategies to move between the zones.
