Supporting your Child’s Creative Development – providing hands-on exploration through art to help your child learn about their world and build their physical, cognitive, emotional, and social skills with Dana Helwick, Visual Arts and Technology teacher.

Drawing, painting and other art activities are a great way to engage with your child! Your child’s artwork can also provide you with a unique perspective into your their minds, and the ways in which they are experiencing the world around them. In this workshop, Dana Helwick will discuss the developmental stages of children’s drawings, and how children find their way from scribbling to representation. She will also provide you with some strategies and suggestions for making art with your kids at home to help build skills and promote free expression.

This workshop is appropriate for K-7th grade parents.
