Curated by our amazing art department—Karla Cervantes and Lindsy Dobbs—the exhibit showcases a dazzling variety of multimedia projects by students of all ages.
Take a journey through a world of imagination, from oil paints to clay and beyond. Our students experimented with an impressive range of materials and techniques, and the results are nothing short of inspiring. A standout highlight was the Monet waterlily project, where students combined paint, oil, and clay to create dynamic, 3D interpretations of the iconic masterpiece. Along the way, they learned valuable techniques like blending hues in concentric circles to form lifelike flowers and shaping clay by rolling, pinching, and carving to achieve stunning detail.
Another showstopper: the whimsical wet-felted landscapes! Students used fluffy wool to build colorful, dreamlike scenes. They delighted in the tactile process—layering, wetting, and pressing fibers to create soft textures that brought their imaginative visions to life.
This year’s show also features playful, interactive art that’s sure to bring a smile. Our Middle School students designed and built custom tic-tac-toe boards and themed game pieces—including pizza, Hello Kitty, and lily pads—each bursting with creativity. Lower School students got in on the fun by designing their own bobblehead animal creatures, full of personality! Birds, dinosaurs, Minecraft characters, and even Dogman came to life in adorable, bobbleheaded form.
Throughout the show, you’ll notice an adventurous use of unconventional materials—bubble wrap, cotton balls, Q-tips, and more—transformed into textured, imaginative masterpieces. These fun and unexpected tools challenged students to think outside the box and embrace bold, new possibilities in their art.
The theme running through this year’s Spring 2025 Art Show is clear: our students aren’t just learning technical skills—they’re growing in confidence, creativity, and self-expression. Their hard work, enthusiasm, and boundless imagination have brought so much life and joy to the Aaron School.
