Camp Green Tree
Aaron School Summer Program at 45th Street
July 1 – August 9, 2019
Camp Green Tree provides students with the opportunity to take part in a summer experience that incorporates academics, social skills, and pragmatic language development through an enriched recreational program!
Aaron School teachers plan and lead theme-based sessions that weave together reading, math, social skills, art, music, athletics, park visits, and field trips. As part of the athletic enrichment, students will swim at the YMCA, take soccer class with Super Soccer Stars, and enjoy tennis class with Super Tennis Stars.
Camp Green Tree is open to students who are entering kindergarten through 7th grade. Campers and activities are divided into age-appropriate groupings. Therapeutic services are available upon request. Contact us to personalize these services.
Session 1: July 1-July 12 (8:15 AM to 2:30 PM)
Grab your beakers and put on your goggles, because our first session will have you going mad! During this session our campers will transform into scientists! Using the scientific method we will conduct a variety of experiments while activating our scientific minds. Our hypothesis is that this summer will be the best one yet!
Session 2: July 15-July 26 (8:15 AM to 2:30 PM)
Yum! What’s cooking in the kitchen? In this session, campers will cook up delicious eats and sweets! We will engage in cooking and baking activities, while using tactile tools and ingredients, and following step-by-step instructions from different recipes. With a pinch of fun, and a dash of creativity, we have the recipe for the perfect summer!
Session 3: July 29-August 9 (8:15 AM to 2:30 PM)
Welcome to the Jungle
Lions and tigers and bears, oh my! During our last session we will take a closer look at the mysterious jungle. As we embark on our “travels” into the jungle, students will learn all about the exciting animals and plants found in this habitat. So grab your binoculars and find a seat on our safari to the mighty jungle!
