Finishing Strong: Wrapping Up the 25-26 School Year at Aaron School
As the 2025-2026 school year ended, all students demonstrated how much they have learned during their participation in Finals Week. While final exams can often feel overwhelming, our students approached the experience with preparation, perseverance, and confidence thanks to a thoughtfully structured review week leading up to exams.
Before finals officially began, students participated in a week-long review period dedicated to each of their core academic subjects. Throughout review week, classrooms became collaborative learning spaces where students revisited important concepts, practiced test-taking strategies, reviewed study guides, and strengthened their understanding of key academic content from the school year. Teachers provided review activities tailored to meet the needs of their students. These included group discussion, guided notes, practice essays, vocabulary review, and organizational strategies. Students were encouraged to ask questions, reflect on their progress, and recognize how much they had accomplished throughout the year.
Following review week, students began a full week of final exams across their core subjects. These exams gave students the opportunity to showcase the knowledge and skills they developed over the course of the academic year. Beyond academics, students also practiced important executive functioning and self-advocacy skills, including managing schedules, preparing materials, prioritizing assignments, and utilizing strategies to stay organized and focused. Teachers and support staff continued to provide encouragement and individualized support throughout the week to help students feel successful and confident.
As finals wrapped up, the excitement and emotion of the last days of school filled the hallways. Students spent time signing one another’s yearbooks, reflecting on favorite memories from the school year, saying their goodbyes, and looking ahead to summer break. They received their final grades, and this marked the completion of another year filled with growth, hard work, and perseverance.
While the end of a school year can bring mixed emotions, it also provides an opportunity to celebrate just how far our students have come. We are incredibly proud of all our students for their dedication, resilience, and accomplishments this year, and can’t wait to see what 26-27 will bring!
