Spring Concert 2025
From the Austrian Alps to the bustling streets of New York City — the Lower School is hitting the stage for a Broadway revue like no other!
Each class is bringing to life a scene from a different iconic Broadway show: The Sound of Music, Annie, Mary Poppins, The Wiz, and Newsies. Not only are they acting out scenes, but they’ll also be performing a musical number from their respective shows. What makes this especially exciting is that every single student has a speaking part, making this a truly inclusive and collaborative performance.
In preparation, students spent several weeks diving into the world of Broadway. They explored musical theater terminology, learned about the various on- and off-stage roles involved in a production, gained insight into the audition process, and practiced proper audience etiquette and stage acting techniques. Each class also studied the musical they’re performing, watching either the movie musical or a filmed stage version to deepen their understanding and inspiration.
From the far reaches of the solar system to the high seas with a rousing sea shanty — the Middle School is ready to take you on a musical adventure
Since January, our sixth and seventh graders have been diving deep into the world of classical guitar. They’ve mastered strumming patterns, refined their finger-picking technique, tackled chord progressions, and mapped out the fretboard — and now, it’s time to shine.
Each of the three performance groups will showcase a unique musical skill: one will enchant you with a classical-style melody, another will bring rhythm to life with standard chord strumming, and the third will rock the stage with gritty two-note power chords, straight from the world of punk and hard rock.
It’s more than just a performance — it’s a celebration of music, movement, and months of dedication. We can’t wait for you to witness the talent, passion, and energy these students are bringing to the stage!
