Career Week 2026: Exploring the Future Together
Aaron School’s annual Career Week has students engaging in career-oriented classroom lessons, meeting with professionals in different fields, and doing research into many possible career paths. This week-long event is designed to help students discover their strengths, begin thinking about life after high school, and build confidence towards new and exciting journeys ahead.
One of the bigger highlights of the week was our 1st Aaron School Career Gallery Walk. Students gathered in the gym, which was set up as a career fair, and rotated through stations that included meeting professionals in a variety of fields (i.e., physical therapist, engineer, photographer) and participated in career-themed activities. Each of the professionals attending shared insights into their daily responsibilities, required education, and the skills needed to succeed in their respective field. Students asked thoughtful questions about college pathways, challenges on the job, and what makes each career rewarding. It was inspiring to see students making real-world connections in this way and starting to think deeply about what might be next for them!
Some of the career themed activities that students took part in during the gallery walk were Career Heads Up, a career interest quiz, where students learned more about their strengths, and a career matching challenge, where they had to connect specific personality traits and skills to specific professions. Later in the week, students worked in teams during a game of Career Jeopardy, where they tested their knowledge of career pathways and workplace skills in a fun and competitive setting.
To fully embrace the Career Week theme, students also participated in Dress to Impress Day. On this day, students proudly arrived in business casual attire, and this sparked conversations about professionalism, confidence, and first impressions.
We wrapped up Career Week with College Spirit Day, as students, faculty, and staff wore their favorite college apparel. The week was a meaningful reminder to all of our students that there are many paths to success, and the future for each of them is full of possibility.
