SOAR Into September: Welcome Back Aaron School

SOAR Into September: Welcome Back Aaron School

  |   Aaron School

At Aaron 30th Street, September marks more than just the start of a new school year. It brings new opportunities, new connections, and meaningful learning experiences. There has been a buzz of excitement throughout the school during these first weeks as students reconnect with friends, settle into routines, and begin diving into their coursework.

Back-to-School Energy

Classrooms have been filled with collaboration, curiosity, and creativity. In the Art Studio, students are practicing shading techniques as they build upon previously learned skills for upcoming projects. Writing classes are reviewing subjects and predicates while looking ahead to creative writing projects that will spark great imagination. History classes have kicked off their curriculum by exploring Hispanic Heritage Month. Much more to come on that as students will research and share their learning about Hispanic Heritage Month with their peers. Meanwhile, Science classes are encouraging students to think critically and ask big questions.

What’s Ahead This Fall

More subjects, more new ideas, more engagement:

    • Math: Students are challenging themselves with problem-solving activities, exploring patterns, and making connections between math and real-world applications while building confidence in their reasoning.
    • English: Students are beginning their first major texts, sparking conversations about themes, characters and plot points, while making real-world connections.
    • Public Speaking and Core Skills: These courses will work to help students practice non-verbal communication, teamwork, and confidence-building activities.
    • Senior Advance: Students are brainstorming ideas for their Senior Projects and are looking forward to this long-term research based and interactive project. At the end of the school year, students will present their project to their peers and administration, as well as participate in a Senior Project fair! Congrats Class of 2026!

Looking Forward

Though the school year has only just begun, September has already been filled with student growth, exploration, and accomplishment. We can’t wait to see how they continue to shine this fall. Go Aaron School Falcons!
